Chris Bates, Nathan Hanson and Davu Seru present an evening of improvised investigation into the current state of things. Music to remind us that we are not alone. Join us for an evening of duos and solos and this trio of longtime collaborators.
Chris Bates is a bassist of formidable talent. Having worked professionally for 25 years across all spectrums of the musical landscape he continues to be a driving force in the Minnesota music scene.
Saxophonist and composer Nathan Hanson makes music that invites listeners to stand outside themselves and the flow of time. His improvisations are “lithe and soaring, engaging in judicious honk 'n' splatter” (New York City Jazz Record).
Davu Seru is an improvising musician, composer and scholar known primarily for his work on drums. Davu is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) and is Curator of the Givens Collection of African American Literature at University of Minnesota.
