Jennifer Eckes and Jennifer Parker return to The Hive Collaborative for their delightful cabaret, to sing and laugh about having the most popular name of Jeneration X! After a lifetime of trying to stand out in a sea of Jennifers, Jennys and Jens, they now celebrate and embrace their name with pride.  Audiences have called this fun and unique show “clever, original, and engaging” and “Jen-uinely fantastic!”  Join us - with special guest, Jen Santoro-Rotty! - as we explore the Jennifer phenomenon, our coming of age, and our ultimate plan to take over the world. BIOS 

Jennifer Eckes is a life-long Minnesotan who has been singing professionally for nearly three decades as a soloist in jazz/pop concerts and cabaret shows, as well as in countless theatrical productions, from operas to rock musicals. A versatile vocalist, she has enjoyed musical revue and solo appearances at Twin Cities venues large and small, such as the Ordway Center, Bloomington Center for the Arts, Hastings Arts Center, Hanifl Performing Arts Center, Park Square Theatre, Phipps Center for the Arts, Bryant-Lake Bowl, Honey Lounge, Crooners, Nicollet Island Inn, and the MetroNOME. Jennifer Parker has enjoyed a varied music career as an educator, performer, arranger, and songwriter. Highlights include the direction of the All-State Jazz Choirs in CO, WI and ND. In 2019 Jennifer was commissioned to write and premier her composition and arrangement, This Make Believe in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Jazz Education Network in Reno, NV.  Her first full-length album of original songs, “The Rest of Me” includes the song, Sign of Life which premiered in the 2015 Minneapolis film festival as part of the documentary My Dream, My Right, a humanitarian awareness documentary focused on Syrian refugee children.  Jennifer has been active in music education for over 20 years and is currently caring for students as a TRIO and Academic advisor at Inver Hills Community College. 

Jen Santoro Rotty is an actress, singer, hair and makeup artist, and entrepreneur. She runs JSR Creative, which combines all the different hats she wears. As a performer, Jen has toured nationally and internationally in revue shows, full scale-musicals, and with cruise ships. Locally, she’s worked with the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Children’s Theater, Illusion Theater, Lyric Theater and Hey City Theater. She’s an accomplished commercial actress and has served as an on-camera spokesperson for companies such as United Health Group, Bank of America, Best Buy, and Target. Jen’s hair and makeup stylings have been featured in magazines like People, Hallmark, Mpls/St. Paul, Spaces Design, Metro, The Knot, and she’s the recipient of a Judge’s Diamond Award from Mpls/St. Paul Bridal magazine for Outstanding Wedding Hair and Makeup. Jen has a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire; she’s married to Kevin Rotty and they have two grown daughters.
